Easy Vegetable Carving Calla Lilies are perfect for spring celebrations
Calla Lilies, also known as Easter Lilies are beautiful and elegant springtime flowers. Did you know that you can easily create your own Easter Lilies with vegetable carving? And it’s pretty easy.
The first time that I made these for an Easter party, quite a number of the guests did a double take and asked if the lilies were real flowers. Although not as delicate as the real flower, vegetable carving calla lilies still have the visual impact of real flowers. What’s different is that you can serve them.
Calla Lily Vegetable Carving – for display or to serve
Calla lily vegetable carvings can be used as decorations or they can be eaten. They can be placed on plates as part of an elegant table setting. They can be displayed in vases by themselves as if they were real flowers. Or they can be combined with other fruit or vegetable flowers in a bouquet.
Carved vegetable calla lilies can be eaten fresh and raw and served with a dip or they can be brushed with olive oil and grilled on the barbecue. Of course they won’t look as pretty after they are grilled but they are tasty.
