I discovered this marvelous turkey-shaped Thanksgiving Vegetable Tray on the Raw Food Revolution Facebook page. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of who created it but the finished product is so spectacular that I had to share it.
This colorful turkey is a fun, easy idea that requires no special carving skills. As long as you can slice vegetables, which even kitchen novices can likely handle, anyone can create it by arranging the vegetable layers from the bottom to top. This turkey appears to be made out of lettuce, celery, carrots, asparagus, red/yellow/green peppers, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. The turkey’s head is made of a yellow squash.
Thanksgiving Vegetable Tray with a Cheeseball and Crackers can Become a festive Centerpiece
Following the same guidelines, you could also create a turkey using a cheese ball, crackers and vegetables. The following photo is a Thanksgiving Vegetable Tray by Diane Keegan.
You can easily turn Diane’s beautiful cheese and vegetable plate into a turkey by adding a yellow squash with a carrot beak and clove eyes. I’ve Photoshopped the bird neck and head into the next photo to show you how easy it would be to turn this platter into a decorative and edible turkey for Thanksgiving.
Chef Luciano Miguele Offers His Take on a Thanksgiving Vegetable Tray
For more elaborate Thanksgiving Vegetable Trays or appetizer trays, take a look at the gorgeous vegetable trays with carved pumpkins and squashed created by Chef Luciano Miguele. I love how Luciano used the colors of the ingredients (cheese, nuts, oranges, olives) to be harmonious with the carved squashes to create a color theme perfect for Autumn parties. Really lovely, aren’t they?
Notice how Luciano used the autumn colors and attractive designs to lay out his vegetable appetizer trays. They are really eye-catching and beautiful examples of a Thanksgiving Vegetable Tray.
