This is an essential set of tools for every carver’s tool kit.  Our 7 Piece Set of Professional U-V Tools contains the largest, strongest, sharpest, U-V tools that I could find. Well actually, I couldn’t find any like anywhere this so I had them custom made. They have a wide range of carving blade sizes.

These are much sharper, stronger, and longer than our old Smooth U-V Cutters that we used to carry. Yet we’ve now priced them the same. So they are a great value.

These are very similar to the most useful tools taken from the 13 piece Pro set that we used to offer (and can’t get any longer). I found over time that these 7 tools from that old 13 Piece set were the ones that I used the most – by far. So, I had these super useful, vegetable and fruit carving tools custom made by another skilled knife and tool manufacturer and now am able to offer them at a greatly reduced price.

• These Professional U-V Tools are sharp and strong enough to carve through watermelon and pumpkin rinds
• 4 U-cutter tools with deep curves that hold their shape. 8 different size blades
• 3 V-cutter tools with 6 different size blades
• U cutter tools are high quality with very sharp blades and are 7 and 5/8 inches long.
• The U cutter tool widths vary from 1/4 inch wide to 1 inch wide and are 7 and 5/8 inches long.
• The V cutters range from 1/4 inch deep to 3/4 inch deep from 7 1/8 to 7 and 5/8 inches long

They are very sharp, very strong and very sturdy. And the U-cutters have deep curves that hold their shape.

You can see the sharp edge on both the the concave and convex side of the large U cutter fruit carving tool.

The U-cutters in this Pro Vegetable and Fruit Carving Set are great for carving smooth complete circles and because these tools are long, they will cut all the way through honeydew and cantaloupe melons and pumpkins. They are useful for carving smooth heart shapes, too.

Professional U-V Tools are Very Sharp – Handle with Care

One warning, be careful when you handle these fruit carving tools. They are very sharp and you can cut yourself. Also, be aware that the V tools are sharp enough to leave dents in counter tops made of wood, solid surfaces like Corion, and plastic laminate surfaces like Formica. So handle them carefully. Don’t just throw them in the sink when it’s time to wash them. I learned this the hard way and as a result, I have a few nicks in my counter top and kitchen sink from these very sharp V tools.

You might see other similar looking tools else where. But don’t be fooled. I’ve ordered many, many similar looking sets and have received tools that looked pretty good on the web pages, but turned out to be too dull to carve with. Some were too weak, some did not hold their shape well. I ended up having to have this set of tools specially manufactured to my specs. You’ll find them to be sharp, sturdy, with deep curves that hold their shape.

Now, you may ask when you should get my Smooth U-V Cutters, and when you should get this Pro U-V 7 Piece Set.

If you are a brand new beginner getting started with my 101 Course or any of the lessons in the 101 Course, you can start with the Smooth U-V set. They are a good solid basic set at a lower price. If you don’t mind spending a little more for sharper, stronger, larger U-V tools, get this 7 piece Pro set in place of the Smooth U-V Cutters for the 101 Course.

If you plan to get my lessons, Carving Letters and Words, our Portrait Course of Amazing Carving with Jimmy Zhang, then I recommend that you invest in this 7 Piece Professional U-V Tools set. You can get by with using using the basic Smooth U-V Cutters for these lessons, but, you will find it easier to get better results with the sharper, longer tools in this 7 Piece Pro Tool set.

If you are an avid carver and you already have the Smooth U-V Cutter 6 piece set, you’ll enjoy adding the larger, sharper tools with more cutting blade sizes to your tool collection.
