Are you looking for ideas for making fruit arrangements?
Today, I received a very nice email from student /customer Summer Dawn. She also sent some photos of her recent fruit arrangements that are very pretty. I thought that you might enjoy seeing them to give you ideas for your own fruit arrangements.
Here is what Summer had to say,
I know I have previously sent 2 other pictures, but I made this today and it turned out so wonderful I just had to share!!
Today makes a year since I started making “edible arrangements” (i first attempted making one for my mother last year for mothers day because I wanted to give her an “edible arrangement” but we lived too far from one of their locations to order one). I only started “carving” around November, and let me just say that had I not stumbled across your web site this would have never been possible!!
I have learned SO MUCH from your site and lessons. I really appreciate the information you offer that is so hard to find anywhere else! I live in rural West Virginia and the internet is my only resource to learn anything, and the majority of what I have learned has been from you.
I still have a lot to learn, but I look forward to more of your lessons. Because of your lessons I have been able to look at pictures of other carvings and figure out how to recreate it, and also to use my own imagination to create my own carvings. 🙂
Here is Summer’s photo of her fruit arrangements including her “Peacock Paradise”.
Isn’t it lovely? Great job Summer!
I like how Summer combined real flowers (or are they silk?) with her carved vegetable and fruit flowers. Beautiful.
A couple of other fruit arrangements by summer
Below, you can see that Summer has made her own version of a watermelon cake. If you’d like to see couple of watermelon cakes that I have carved and posted on previous a previous blog, you can see them on my post titled Vote for Your Favorite Melon Carvings.
In fact, my desire to make a non-cake birthday cake for a loved one is what led me to the art of fruit carving. You can read that story here.
Perhaps these photos will be food for inspiration for you.
Great job Summer. Thanks for sharing.
I hope that these photos will inspire you to make your own pretty fruit arrangements for your next get together or party.
