I think everyday should be Make Your Dream Come True Day. But in honor of this day, why not take a few moments right now to ask yourself what unfulfilled dreams you have. What dreams have you long forgotten in the busy-ness of everyday obligations? What dreams have you put off until later? And then later never comes.
5 Easy Steps to Take on Make Your Dreams Come True Day
Give yourself permission to take a few minutes to yourself. Grab and pen and paper and follow these 5 simple steps. I’ll show you some inspiring people along the way.
What is your dream?
1. Identify your dreams.
Do you have an unfulfilled dream that you keep putting off until later, and later has yet to come? What is the first thing that comes to mind?
Dreams can be be something you want to be, something you want to do or something you want to have. They can be big or small.
If you don’t have at least a couple of dreams that come to mind right away, think back to when you were young. What dreams did you have then?
Here are 3 questions that may help you remember some dreams. Ask yourself and jot down the first things that come to mind.
- What would I like to be?
- Maybe you have a professional goal Maybe you want to be a party planner, caterer or even a skilled fruit carver. Maybe you want to be … More tolerant? Nicer to others? more assertive?
- What do I want to do?
- Surf, dance, play piano, entertain more, make new friends, take a trip, kayak, golf, etc.
- What do I want to have?
- New car, nice clothes, comfortable home?
At the heart of these 3 questions above is another question.
- How do I want to feel?
- How can I feel that way? What are some things I can do to feel that way?
Maybe your immediate dream is a simple personal desire or maybe it’s a far reaching, world changing dream.
2. Is your dream possible?
We humans make all kinds of excuses. Chances are that your dreams are possible. Unless your dream is to ride through space to Mars of the back of a fire breathing dragon. Although even a form of that dream may be possible in time. Perhaps people will be able to travel to Mars in a fire blasting rocket.

3. Break it down into steps.
What are the few big steps it would take to live your dream? Ask yourself,
- If my dream were possible, what would it take to achieve it?
- Jot down the few big steps.
If your dream is to take trip. What would need to happen?
You might write things like:
- Learn more about the destination
- Figure out the cost, and save the money
- Get or renew your passport
- Get time off
- Schedule the trip
- Buy supplies to pack

- Look into lesson options
- Decide on a teacher
- Schedule Lessons
- Commit to a schedule of practice
Remember that your excuses reveal the seeds of the solutions.
When limiting thoughts come up, write down your thoughts as questions. For instance, your might think, I can’t afford it. It’s too expensive. If that thought comes up write, how could I come up with the money for this? If your excuse is I don’t have time. Write, how could I make time for this? You will find answers if you really want to.
If your dream is a big one, break the big steps into smaller steps.
