Eagle arrangement of meats and cheeses make a great 4th of July platter
Several months ago someone sent me these great photos of cold cuts, meats and cheeses arranged to look like Eagles. Aren’t they beautiful? I saved them to show you for the 4th of July. I wish I could give credit to the food artist who created these lovely eagle platter arrangements but, by the time these photos came to my attention, the original artist’s name was no where to be found.
I love the idea and the artistry of these platters is so beautiful. With the Bald Eagle being the official bird of America, this eagle meat and cheese arrangement is perfect for the 4th of July. Wouldn’t your guests be impressed if you made a platter like this?
Eagle Meat and Cheese Platter is Perfect for the 4th of July

When I had first seen this idea of artfully arranging meats and cheeses on a platter, it was in the shape of a butterfly. The butterfly below looks easier to make than the Eagle platter, yet it’s still quite beautiful. This butterfly platter is made from slices of breads, smoked salmon, olives, lemons, and tomatoes and has rose petals as color accents on the lower wings. By the way, did you know that rose petals are edible? This beautiful meat and cheese arrangement idea would be great for any brunch, potluck or party.
Update – Since this post was published one of my readers watermelon carving of an eagle using the eagle design from this platter. See this and more patriotic watermelon carvings here.
