Have you ever seen a 1 year old watermelon?
About a year ago I bought some watermelons in preparation for a TV appearance on Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family Show. One of the watermelons sat unused for a couple of months. I ended up keeping it just to see what happened. It lasted close to one year before showing signs of mold on the outside.

I’m glad that you got a kick out of it.
I have never seen the a watermelon’s insides that looked like this. I have never heard of a watermelon lasting this long. Around here the outside gets soft, slimy and then moldy very quickly. I never knew that scars indicate an older melon or that they developed as a melon aged.
