Ric-watermeloncarving6In August, a reader who stumbled across my website contacted me about creating wedding fruit carving arrangements for her daughter’s upcoming wedding. Her daughter was getting married in September and she wanted some fruit carving arrangements for the occasion, a large elegant event with about 350 guests.

She wrote, “I regret not to hear about you few months ago and if I did I might have been able to do my own. But I am really busy with my daughter’s wedding, I don’t have much time of my own.”

And she asked if I knew anyone in her area who could provide wedding fruit carving arrangements similar to the ones that she saw on my website. This mother of the bride wanted something colorful that would work well with the wedding colors of fuchsia and purple. continue reading…

One of my student /customers Sharron Nickerson recently created a wedding fruit display for a wedding that she hosted at her home. It was her first large fruit carving display.

Here is what Sharon wrote to me when she sent her photo to me.

Hi Nita,

My fruit and veggie appetizers display turned out awesome. No one could believe it was my first one. I have done smaller fruit bouquets but nothing on this scale. I found some other Ideas from off the Internet but the watermelon and Radish bouquets were the favorite. It was a big hit at the wedding in my back yard. I did get the tools on Friday.
